Facts and figures
Every year the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital treats a large number of dogs and cats. The hospital provides first aid and limited treatment for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, rats, birds and other small animals owned by members of the public.
However, a large number of needy animals are also admitted to the hospital. Members of the public, as well as RSPCA inspectors and RSPCA animal welfare officers bring these needy animals to the hospital.
Annually around 27,000 outpatient appointments are made at hospital clinics, and nearly 7,000 animals are admitted into the hospital for nursing and operations.
Funding the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital
RSPCA animal hospitals provide a low-cost veterinary service. The RSPCA receives no government funding and we depend entirely on the generosity of our supporters to continue with our work protecting and treating animals, including the running of our animal hospitals.
The RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital is very grateful for donations from individuals or groups, to help it to continue to provide animal welfare services in the local area.
Donations can be handed in at the hospital itself, or cheques can be made payable to the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital and posted to Mr Alan Townend at the hospital (See contact details above for the hospital address).
