Gonsal Farm Animal Centre

Adoption

Our animals are looking for someone to offer them a new home, to be a friend and look after them. In return a pet will offer fun, friendship and loyalty.

We look after dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, various small mammals and horses, and at any one time we are caring for over 150 animals.

Changing the lives of so many animals makes it all worthwhile! Last year our Gonsal Farm Animal Centre rehomed 711 pets:
297 cats, 135 dogs and 279 small animals, including rabbits, hamsters, birds and guinea pigs.

To find out more about the process of rehoming a RSPCA pet, please visit our rehoming pages.

Equine rehoming

In addition, the equine unit found special new homes for 38 horses so far this year (July 2012).

Many of the horses and ponies that come into our care have had bad and harmful experiences with humans so they can be extremely nervous to start with. It is very rewarding for us when a nervous horse approaches us and gradually gains our trust.

One of the horses that came into our care was Charmer. He was rescued by the RSPCA with his mum and approximately 60 other horses when their owner failed to meet their needs.

It is very important to find the right home for these animals when they are ready. A place where their new owners will continue the work and develop a bond.

We are always looking for experienced owners who are willing to give them the home and time that they deserve.

If you think you can offer one of our rescue animals a second chance, please get in touch! You can also search for our animals online by visiting our pet search facility for all pets or our horse search facility for all our equines!
