Felledge Animal Centre

How you can help us

Sadly the North East region in England and Wales has very high levels of reported cruelty to animals. This results in a large number of animals needing our help.

It costs £600,000 to run Felledge Animal Centre every year and we could not carry out our work without the generous support of the public.

Make an online donation

It costs an average of £7.50 per animal, per day to be rehabilitated with us at Felledge. Make an online donation today. You can choose to make a single donation or a regular monthly donation.

The money you gift to us will help us continue to care for cats, dogs and horses who have suffered from neglect and cruelty. Thank you very much - we can't do it without you.

Volunteer

Our volunteers make a huge contribution to the work we do. There is a wide variety of volunteer roles available to suit all interests and time commitments. We also have a Friends of Felledge group who meet regularly to plan and organise our upcoming events. If you think you can spare some time to help the centre, please contact us and we will be happy to give you lots of advice on how to get involved.

Why not help the animals in our care by sponsoring a kennel, cat pen or stable? These provides a safe environment for abused, abandoned or mistreated animals.

Download the RSPCA Felledge Animal Centre Safe Haven Form (pdf) today.

Unlike other animal sponsorship schemes, Safe Haven sponsorship enables you to sponsor an average of four different animals each year that will have a temporary stay with us.

You could make a real difference to the animals in our care by supporting our Safe Haven scheme from as little as £3 per month.

Your contribution goes directly towards the running costs of treating and rehabilitating the animals at the centre before they are ready to be rehomed. You can become a Safe Haven Sponsor either for yourself, as a gift for a loved one living or lost, or on behalf of your business or community group. We reward our sponsor’s kindness by:

  • Giving them a unique Safe Haven certificate
  • Sending them newsletters about the animals staying in their assigned haven
  • Displaying their name on the Safe Haven plaque at Felledge
  • Inviting them to VIP tours of the centre to meet with some of our current residents
  • Sending them VIP invitations to special events and open days
  • Posting their support on our website and social networking sites (should they wish)

Please download the RSPCA Felledge Animal Centre Safe Haven Form (pdf) or contact us to request a form by post.

Fundraising

Fundraising activities can be large or small and all will be greatly appreciated by the animals in our care. From organizing a recycling drive at your school or holding a coffee morning in your office, we can support you with materials and advice, so have a go – you could raise more than you think is possible! Rob Williams (pictured second from the left) who signed up to do the 2011 Great North Run in aid of Felledge, said:

It was a great challenge and something that I am proud to have achieved. Best still, is knowing that I have made a difference to the welfare of animals in my local area.

If you would be interested in participating in any of this year’s running events or any other challenge event from skydiving to climbing Kilimanjaro for Felledge, then we are here to help, so please get in touch
