Oliver's story
Blind kitten found dumped in bag
A black kitten, later named Oliver by RSPCA staff, was found in a carrier bag in a playground in Milton Keynes in February 2011 after a member of the public heard a faint meow and saw the bag rustling.
We rushed him to a vet, but the 10-week-old kitten’s eyes were so badly ulcerated that vets decided that they had to be removed to prevent Oliver from further suffering.
Brave kitten survives
Despite his horrific ordeal, Oliver adapted very well and RSPCA Inspector Sue Haywood said:
Even just after he had his operation he was meowing and seeking attention.
He is such an incredibly brave and intelligent kitten who was already managing to find his way around without any problems.
We are all glad that, despite what he has gone through, he was a given a chance.
Oliver was cared for by our Milton Keynes & North Bucks Branch before being rehomed.
