The RSPCA in Wales
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, RSPCA, is the UK's leading animal welfare charity and also works directly for animal welfare in Wales. At RSPCA Cymru we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome thousands of animals in Wales each year. We offer advice on caring for all animals and campaign to change laws to protect animals better, which we will enforce through prosecution.

Control of Dogs (Wales) Bill consultation launched
Most people who own dogs look after them and train them properly, so that they behave well. However, there are some dogs whose behaviour needs to change. The Welsh Government want to make changes to the law to deal with people who allow their dogs to be out of control. This will include when the dog is in its own home as well as in a public place like a street or park.
Before the Bill becomes law, the Welsh Government want to know what people think. They are keen to gather views from everyone including young people. There is a version of the consultation document specifically aimed at young people which you can find at http://wales.gov.uk.pdf and the general consulation documents for everyone can be found at www.wales.gov.uk/consultation
The consultation closes on 1 March 2013.
