Housing Footprint Achievers 2011

The Housing Footprint criteria focuses on the provision of a positive and clear policy on pet ownership, which is both enforceable and enforced. Other elements include proactive work to educate tenants about responsible pet ownership and the benefits of microchipping and neutering.

This Footprint category attracted a number of new entries from housing providers that had been inspired by the CAWF scheme and the good practice guide that was produced in 2010.

Many of last year's entries have improved to silver or gold in 2011 and it is hoped that 2012 will see this footprint continue to grow with more entries and further improvements within existing entries.
