Interim Community Fundraiser - 6 months fixed term
Location: North Support Centre, Leeds
Salary: £24,284 – £25,746 per annum
Hours: 35 per week
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has been at the forefront of animal welfare since 1824. We are the largest animal welfare charity in the UK. Building on our strong and successful heritage, we are now significantly investing in our Community and Events Fundraising. This position is a fixed term contract to provide additional support to the North Fundraising team during a busy fundraising period, to maintain and grow existing events & activities and to identify and develop new fundraising opportunities.
This is a full time position and you will be based at our North Support Centre in Leeds. This post will require extensive travel.
You will develop and deliver the national community fundraising plan at a local level. Responsible for agreed fundraising activity and events within the North region, you will deliver significant income through excellent donor development and support. This will include establishing new groups of fundraising volunteers, as well as forming and building new key relationships with individuals, local businesses, groups and associations as well as local media.
You will be an energetic, passionate, self-motivate and enthusiastic fundraiser with demonstrable experience of managing events and raising funds in a community setting. In addition, you must have the ability to build practical, beneficial and productive relationships with all areas of the community as well as internally in the RSPCA. You must be able to work to and deliver significant budgets, targets and plans.
