Nigel Yeo
Nigel Yeo is director of operations at the RSPCA.
He joined the RSPCA as regional manager for the south east and London region in January 2007 after just over 30 years police service, split between London and Sussex.
Nigel was promoted to director of animal welfare services (now known as director of operations) in April 2007 - a role he describes as one of the most satisfying in the RSPCA. It covers a range of operational work from the call made by the public regarding an animal, through its collection, treatment, the investigation of any offences and finding it a new home. He is also responsible for the relationship between the National RSPCA and the local branches and volunteers.
Nigel values the high reputation of the RSPCA and wishes to focus on the three R’s (rescue, rehabilitate and rehome) and emphasise the positive impact the RSPCA can have on animals and their owners. He hopes to improve and strengthen the relationship between the branches and the national society as this will ultimately improve animal welfare. Nigel believes that the RSPCA’s ultimate goal is to prevent cruelty and stop suffering occurring by working with the public and other organisations to achieve this.
