RSPCA Week

Every year we hold RSPCA Week – this year it is 29th April to 5th May 2013 - which is a great opportunity to help collect at your local store or even volunteer at your local branch event, such as an open day or quiz evening. There are many ways you can help. Volunteering is fun, rewarding and a great opportunity to meet new people. You will learn a lot about the work of the RSPCA and meet people involved in different aspects of the Society.

What does the role of volunteer collector involve?

Collections are a great way to raise money and form the foundation of many fundraising campaigns.

To make the Week a success we need volunteers to help collect for a couple of hours at each Tesco store. A little of your time can make a big difference – fundraising by one person for a couple of hours can bring in £70, imagine multiplying that by 4, 8 or even 10. £70 would cover the cost of a standard veterinary treatment for an animal taken in our care for one month.

As a Collection co-ordinator typical tasks include

Collecting at the allotted time at your local store

Deliver collection tins to the appointed person after your collection

What other volunteer roles are there?

You could also volunteer at your local RSPCA branch at their event such as open day or quiz evening.
