Write On!

It’s here! The animal action writing competition, Write On!, is back!

Could you be the next Jacqueline Wilson or J K Rowling? Is your head bursting with brilliant story ideas? Then this is the competition for you! You could win a Dell laptop, signed books and appear in animal action!

Your story

You can write about anything you like, as long as your story or poem involves an animal superhero. What happens next is up to you! But whatever it is, your animal should have a great adventure.

How to enter

There are three categories:

  • 8 years and under – for 2014, entrants age eight and under can enter a poem or a short story up to 250 words.
  • Age 9 or 10 – your story needs to be between 500 and 800 words.
  • Age 11 to 13 – your story should be 500 words but no more than 1,000.

Fill in the entry form Write On Entry Form 2014 (PDF 468 KB) (remember to get your parent or guardian to sign it), attach it to your story and send it to:

Write On!, animal action,
RSPCA,
Wilberforce Way,
Horsham,

All entries must be received by Friday, 28 February 2014.

You can enter more than once but you need to attach a completed entry form to each story. Read the Write on! terms and conditions (PDF 584KB) for full details.

There are some awesome prizes to be won!
