Virgin London Marathon – Sunday, 21 April 2013

2013 ballot - the London Marathon ballot is now closed. If you're lucky enough to get your own place in the London Marathon, find out how you can join the RSPCA London Marathon team.
Robin Hood Half Marathon
When: Sunday, 30th September 2012
Where: Between Nottingham University, Boots campus, and Victoria Embankment
Distance: 13.1 miles
Registration fee: UKA affiliated club runners £27.75, all other runners £29.75
How to enter: Sign up for the Robin Hood Half Marathon and find out further information through their website or if you already have your place fill out our own place application form.
The Big Fun Runs - Choose a 5K location across the UK – Fun for all the family!
When: On various dates throughout the year for all ages and abilities
Where: The Big Fun Runs are 5K untimed runs taking place in scenic parks throughout the UK. The Big Fun Runs are perfect running events for all the family.
Distance: 5K
Registration Fee: Adult £9.99, Concession (Child 5-15 or OAP) £7.99, Under 5’s FREE.
How to enter: Entries for each 5K fun run close a week before the event is due to take place or when the race has reached its capacity. Sign up for a fun run through their website for your own place or if you already have your own place fill out our own place entry form
Royal Parks Half Marathon
When: Sunday, 7th October 2012
Where: Four of London’s Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park and The Green Park).
Distance: 13.1miles
Registration fee: £45

Cardiff Half Marathon
When: Sunday, 14th October 2012
Where: A flat and fast route around the historic buildings of Cardiff
Registration fee: £29 for runners affiliated with a running club, £31 for non affiliated runners.
Distance: 13.1miles

Great Birmingham Run
When: Sunday, 21st October 2012
Where: Take part in a leading half marathon in Birmingham City Centre around some of Birmingham’s iconic landmarks.
Distance: 13.1 miles
Registration fee: £32
How to enter: For runners of all abilities aged 17 and over. Sign up for the Great Birmingham Run through their website for your own place or if you already have a place, fill out our own place entry form.
Beachy Head Marathon
When: Saturday, 27th October 2012
Where: Take part in one of the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. The marathon route crosses through West Sussex, taking in the scenery of the South Downs countryside. Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon.
Distance: 26miles
Registration fee: £32

The Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon
When: Saturday, 3rd March 2013
Where: Historic Silverstone motor racing circuit
Distance: 13.1 miles
Registration fee: £20 (£18 if a member of a UKA registered running club)
How to enter: Take part in an event brought to you by the organisers of the Virgin London Marathon. Sign up for the Silverstone Half Marathon through their website

Bath Half Marathon
When: Unconfirmed 2013
Where: A fast flat course around both sides of the River Avon, avoiding all hills.
Registration fee: unconfirmed
Distance: 13.1 miles
How to enter: One of the longest established half marathon’s around popular city centre roads in Bath. It is suitable for all abilities as it is a flat course so is perfect for first time runners. Sign up for the Bath Half Marathon through their website

Brighton Mini Mile Run
When: Unconfirmed 2013
Where: The last mile of the Brighton Marathon course.
Registration fee: Currently unknown
Distance: 1 mile
How to enter: A perfect way for children to become involved in one of the most popular marathons. Entries open on Monday, 3rd September, sign up to run the final mile of the Brighton Marathon or if you have your own place already fill in our own place entry form.
Great North Run
When: Sunday, 16th September 2012
Location: One of the biggest half marathon’s running from Newcastle to the coast line of South Shields.
Registration Fee: £40
Fundraising Target: £300 (we will be able to offer you lots of tips and advice)
Distance: 13.1 miles

Great South Run
When: Sunday, 28th October 2012
Location: Run the 10 mile course in Southsea, Portsmouth on a flat route taking in Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.
Registration Fee: £35 (this can come out of your fundraising target)
Fundraising Target: £200 (we will be able to offer you lots of tips and advice)
Distance: 10 mile
