Request a fundraising pack

Hold an event at your place of work, at college or school; or even amongst friends. Get your copy of our RSPCA fundraising pack, which contains template poster, sponsor form, paying in form and how to order extra fundraising materials such as invitation cards and donation box.  
 

Fundraising A-Z

A.  Abseiling, auction – silent/promise.
B.  Ball, bungee jump, birthday challenge (celebrate your birthday or a friends by punishing yourself with various extreme athletic endeavors), bad taste day (those that refuse pay a fine).
C.  Cake sale - request a RSPCA Week fundraising pack which includes all materials you will need to hold your own cake sale, email fundraisers-support@rspca.org.uk. Comedy evening, car boot sale, charity shop donation (have a clear out and donate to your local RSPCA charity shop), come dine with me (donate to take part).
D.  Donate your birthday/wedding/Christmas money, dinner (friends pay to attend), dog walking, dress down day at work, dog grooming.
E.  Easter egg hunt, eighties disco.
F.  Fun run, fashion show.
G.  Gift Aid (reclaim money donated by asking people to select the Gift Aid box on your sponsor form including their name, address and postcode), golf day.
H.  How many sweets in the jar.
I.   It’s a knock out.
J.  Jumble sale, Just Giving (set up an online donations page and promote using email and though social networking sites), jailbreak (dressed as prisoners, sponsored teams are dropped off at a mystery destination, without money or a mobile, they must then blag their way back).
K.  Karaoke evening.
L.  Lucky dip, line dancing, link up with your local branch and organise any fundraising event (search your local area www.rspca.org.uk/inyourarea).
M.  Masked ball, marathon, mobile phone recycling (www.therecyclingfactory.com or FREEPHONE 0800 0910 696), match giving (ask your employer to match what you raise).
N.  Non swearing day, name the teddy.
O.  Office appeal, office Olympics (speed typing or sychronised chair swiveling).
P.  Plant sale, pet food (collect pet food for your local animal centre), pamper party, parachute jump for free.
Q.  Quiz night, overseas challenge - such as trek Peru or cycle from London to Paris.
R.  RSPCA Week - request a RSPCA Week fundraising pack email fundraisers-support@rspca.org.uk.  Running event - enter a running event or search RSPCA’s running places, raffle (it must be part of another event to be strictly legal), race night (on video).
S.  Sweepstake, spot the odd object in a charity shop, sponsored swim or silence.
T.  Talent competition, themed evening e.g. fancy dress, treasure hunt, tug of war.
U.  University challenge.
V.  Video quiz, valentines ball.
W.  Wine and cheese evening, wine tasting evening, workplace fundraising, wedding donations.
X.  Xmas cards/decorations (make and sell), X Factor competition.
Y.  Yoga in the park, your stall at someone else’s event.
Z.  Zip slide, zombie fancy dress party.


At work

  • Ask your boss to donate a small prize and hold a raffle.
  • Start a cartridge recycling programme.
  • If you have a smoking area, charge smokers a small fee to enter all week - all proceeds to the RSPCA.
  • Ask your colleagues to bring in a tin of pet food each. Donate them to your local RSPCA branch or animal centre.
  • Contact your local RSPCA branch and ask them what activities they have planned - put up a poster for them on your staff noticeboard to help them with publicity.

At home

  • If you go to the gym, get friends and family to sponsor you on the treadmill, rowing machine, stepper and in the pool for your workouts.
  • Get your local landlord to run a pub quiz and donate the entry fees to the RSPCA.
  • If you belong to a golf club or any other sporting club, hold a small raffle or run a 'slave auction' in the bar.
  • Have a good clear out and donate any unwanted clothes or bric-a-brac to your local RSPCA charity shop.
  • Hold a coffee morning at mother and toddler groups.

Kids

  • Organise a sponsored dog walk with friends in the park.
  • Do a sponsored swim or silence.
  • Hold a bring and buy sale at guides/brownies/scouts/youth clubs etc.
  • Get friends to bring in pictures of their pets and make up an animal board. Charge a small entry fee and get everyone you know to guess whose pet belongs to who.
  • Have a pop quiz and charge people to enter.
