London to Paris cycle ride

When: 4-8th September 2013

Transport: Return travel by Eurostar
Challenge: It’s a short challenge, but long cycling distances (average 70 miles per day) finishing under the Eiffel Tower.

Cycling from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Riding through picturesque Kent countryside, we cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France, passing many War Cemeteries. With long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, the sight of the Eiffel Tower, our finishing point, will evoke a real sense of achievement. Our past day in Paris allows us to explore the sights and soak up the romantic atmosphere of this majestic city. Finish under Eiffel Tower. The RSPCA retain at least 60% of your fundraising target.

Cycling the furthest possible distance in the British Isles, in all you will cover almost 1000 miles, passing through some of the most stunning and remote countryside. You cover an average of 85 miles per day.

Cycling the breadth of the Uk across some of the most spectacular and wild countryside that England has to offer. Leaving the West Coast we head inland, carving our way over the Cumbrian Mountains and southwards through the Lake District National Park. From Kendal we head east, crossing into Yorkshire, through the heart of the famous Dales and onto our destination: the East Coast and the historic town of Whitby.
