Act now for circus animals
We believe that the Westminster Government has turned its back on wild animals in the circus and no longer intends to deliver on their promise of a ban. Which is the only way to truly safeguard the welfare of wild animals.
Without this ban there’s nothing to prevent circuses acquiring more wild animals and more species. Even since the ban has been going through Parliament, four tigers (one has since died) and two lions have been imported into the country for performance.
However, Jim Fitzpatrick MP isn’t going to give up that easily and we’re supporting him all the way. He has introduced a bill to ban wild animals in circuses which is due for its second reading on 28 November. This could be our last chance to secure wild animals their long overdue ban before the election.
The government may have let wild animals down, but we won’t! Email your MP now and urge them to support the bill at its important second reading on 28 November.
