Easter

With the long weekend Easter is a great time for entertaining friends and family, especially this year if you are taking advantage of the extra bank holiday and taking a few more days off work. Here are some of our suggestions for some great Easter food.

It's traditional to eat a simple fish meal on Good Friday, so why not tuck into our Fish Farmer's Bun using delicious Freedom Food labelled salmon fillets?

For Easter Sunday, the main occasion, Lamb is a classic choice – but even this year with a late Easter, it’s a bit too early for British-grass fed spring lamb. So why not go for turkey, an alternative which is popular at both Easter and Christmas, and is ideal if you have a lot of guests. Our lemon butter roast turkey recipe is a good option.

Another zingy and zesty option is our lemon roast chicken recipe. Chicken is a real family favourite – a great roast chicken is the sort of meal memories are made of.  And to finish? Why not try Phil Vickery's sticky chocolate and orange cake for a real treat?

Easter Monday also provides a perfect opportunity for a late brunch, so serve up a feast like scrambled eggs and chives wrapped in smoked salmon.

Happy Easter - enjoy!
