Simply Ask showcased at restaurant events

Restaurant Show

Freedom Food’s stand at The Restaurant Show, October 11-13 at London’s Earls Court exhibition centre, will be promoting our Simply Ask campaign – and what could well be a very exciting live debate on ethical sourcing and business sense, involving Freedom Food producers and ambassadors.

Paul Merrett - chef and owner of the renowned Victoria restaurant in Sheen, South-West London - is a familiar face on TV with credits including Economy Gastronomy on BBC2. He will be championing the Freedom Food cause as part of a panel debating ‘How ethical sourcing can make good business sense’, joined by Freedom Food producer Mark Hayward of Dingley Dell Pork; Mark Poynton, chef patron of the award-winning Restaurant Alimentum, Oxford; and John Dyson, Technical Food Advisor at The British Hospitality Association. The debate will take place on the centre stage at 2pm on Tuesday October 12.

Restaurant Show

“The Restaurant Show is the trade show aimed exclusively at the UK's restaurant industry. A vast array of products, new launches and inspirational features combine to ensure this event truly meets the needs of today's restaurateur,” says Caroline Gauntlett, Freedom Food consumer marketing manager. “Those who work for, with or in an independent restaurant, restaurant chain, gastro pub, contract caterer, bar or hotel group, cannot afford to miss the show!

“If you are in the business of supplying restaurants, pubs or hotels, why not encourage them to get along to the show (and visit Freedom Food on stand H41) and catch the debate on October 12.”

The London Restaurant Festival

Restaurant Festival

Freedom Food are also supporting the London Restaurant Festival (October 4-18) with the Simply Ask campaign.

The popular festival is a chance to engage with many committed restaurant goers and to highlight to the capital’s restaurants, the aims of Simply Ask and some of the benefits of switching to Freedom Food.

Restaurant Festival

New for 2010, the London Restaurant Festival Market is a six-day extravaganza (Oct 11-13 and 15-17) taking place in the Old Spitalfields Market in the heart of the capital, and giving restaurants the chance to cook their favourite dishes and show off to their suppliers and producers. For others, it’s the chance to wander through the market, try the food, meet the chefs and buy the ingredients used by some of your favourites.”

“The London Restaurant Festival is a citywide celebration of eating out, designed to showcase London's extraordinarily diverse and exciting range of restaurants,” adds Caroline. “The main focus for the 2010 Festival will be the Festival Menus, intended to run at over 800 restaurants across the capital, enabling Londoners to dine out for as little as £10. We think that’s a great opportunity to spread the word for Simply Ask.”
