Freedom Food removes abattoir in response to allegations

Freedom Food has terminated the membership of a slaughterhouse following an investigation carried out in response to footage obtained by Sky News showing appalling allegations of cruelty.

Any animal welfare failures on Freedom Food approved farms are totally unacceptable and are taken very seriously.  Freedom Food will always fully investigate each and every incident report and take whatever action is needed.

Whilst very occasionally farms or farmers can let us down, these are very rare cases, and for every animal shown on covertly-filmed video, there are millions more who’ve had a better life, thanks to Freedom Food and its committed members.
