Pig producers invited to London conference

Following on from the information gathered by the RSPCA’s Farm Animals Department (FAD) on non-confining indoor farrowing and avoiding tail biting and tail docking - earlier this year and funded by grant-making charity The Tubney Charitable Trust – a conference is planned for January 18 2011 in London.

An invitation to attend is open to all pig producers – not just those involved in the research – who would like to know more about the outcomes of the research and the information it has produced. There will also be the opportunity to meet other pig producers and relevant industry groups and individuals.

“So the FreeTails conference will be a useful event for all involved in pig production, where we can report on the project findings so far and help to move these important topics forward.
