What does it cost?

The exact cost of membership depends on the type of operation, the number of animals involved and the number of different species you would like to rear under the scheme.

Membership fee

The annual membership fee includes 12 months membership, the assessment and the issue of your certificate. The minimum cost for most small operations is £110.00 – for example, this is the price for up to 30,000 chickens or 200 dairy cattle. View the full list of assessment fees.

Licence fee

Once you become a member you are entitled to use the Freedom Food certification mark on products produced through a Freedom Food approved supply chain. The licence fee is a minimal charge payable for the use of the Freedom Food trademark.

Combined assessments
