How is Freedom Food different from other farm assurance schemes?

Freedom Food is solely focused on farm animal welfare and was commended by the Farm Animal Welfare Council (FAWC) in its Aug 2001 interim report on the Animal Welfare Implications of Farm Assurance Schemes "for providing a distinct lead in relation to the importance placed on the welfare component of its schemes, whilst delivering the core requirements of industry based schemes".
