Freedom Food Super Hen Children’s Competition
- If your child submits an entry to the competition with your permission,it will be taken to mean that you, as his or her parent or guardian accept these rules.
- All entrants need their parents or guardians’ permission to enter the competition (they can give this by signing the entry form in the appropriate place).
- No purchase is necessary.
- The competition is run by Freedom Food Limited (a registered company
number 2723670 and a charity registered in England and Wales no 1059979
and in Scotland no SC038199) whose registered office is at Wilberforce Way,
Southwater, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 9RS. - The competition will run from 20 April 2011 to 6th May 2011.
- The closing date for entries is last mail delivery of 6th May 2011 and no responsibility will be accepted for entries lost or damaged.
- The competition is open to children aged 4 to 11 years living in the UK or Republic of Ireland between 20 April 2011 and 6th May 2011 except children of employees of Freedom Food Limited, the RSPCA or RSPCA branches or Hamleys of London.
- Entry is limited to one per person. Entries may be by post, accompanied by a completed entry form using the pre-paid envelope to RSPCA Freedom Food Hen Competition, Freepost SEA 4653, Freedom Food, Wilberforce Way, Southwater, Horsham, RH13 9RS or entries can be made electronically via www.hamleys.com, www.freedomfood.co.uk and www.rspca.org.uk. All entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form.
- The design must be the entrant’s original work.
- Entries shall not be returned to entrants or the winner and Freedom Food reserves the right to use entries for promotional purposes
- There will be one prize winner which will be the entrant who in the opinion of the judges, demonstrates originality, understanding of the key elements important to hen welfare as described on the entry form and suitability for animation
- It is intended that the winner will be announced on the Freedom Food website at www.freedomfood.co.uk
- There will be one winner whose prize will be to travel to London for the day on a date to be confirmed, during the week Tuesday 31 May – Friday 3 June, to meet our animators Demon to help them develop their winning Hettie design into an animation character. The Promoter agrees to pay the reasonable travel costs for the winner for the day and his/her parents or guardians to travel by train to the location of the illustrators in Covent Garden, London. The winner to be accompanied at all times during the day by his/her parents or guardians. The winner will appear in the animation with Hettie. The winning design will influence and inspire the ultimate animated character rather than be a direct representation of the winning entrant. The resulting animation will be used by the Promoter and the RSPCA.
- The judges of the competition are Alice Clark, Senior Scientific Officer, RSPCA Farm Animals Department, a representative of Hamleys, and Leigh Grant, Chief Executive of Freedom Food.
- The entrant grants Freedom Food a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to use any of the designs entered in the competition in any of its publications, websites or promotional materials.
- The winner will be notified by 23 May by email. If the winner can not be contacted then the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner from the entries which were received before the closing date.
- There is no cash or other alternative to the prize stated and the prize is not transferable and Freedom Food reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
- The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Freedom Food, the RSPCA will have the free right to reproduce and exhibit in all media any entrant’s design without payment of a fee to the entrant who will, however be credited.
- As a condition of entry, the winner agrees to take part in reasonable post-event publicity and to use their name, photographs and entries in such publicity.
- Freedom Food will only use the information provided on the entry form for the purposes of the Freedom Food Super Hen Children’s Competition and to contact the winner. All entrant information will be kept securely. We promise not to sell any of details to anyone else.
- These competition rules will be governed by English law.
- Entry to this competition signifies acceptance of these rules.
- Freedom Food reserves the right at its discretion to cancel or vary the competition at any stage if circumstances arise outside of Freedom Food’s control that render the competition impossible to run or to run in the manner described above.
- The Freedom Food name and logo are registered trademarks and may only be used with the express written permission of Freedom Food by contacting Freedom Food legal services.
