Teachers! Any budding photographers in your class?
RSPCA’s Young Photographer Awards 2011 is now open for entries!
We’ve teamed up with YPA 2011 to bring you an opportunity to let your students show their creative side AND win prizes for their efforts!
The perfect summer project!
If you’re wondering how you’re going to be able to tie photography in with the school curriculum, no fear. We have produced a guide that tells you exactly how you can incorporate the competition into a curriculum-linked scheme of work. We’ve even figured out how to use it as part of our own free primary and secondary lesson plans!
What are the prizes?
Depending on the category, entrants can stand to win one of a range of cameras, a photo shoot with the RSPCA or an RSPCA YPA trophy and certificate. Take a look at the categories and entice your students with what’s up for grabs!
All entries will be shortlisted and presented to the judging panel in October. The finalists will then be invited to a special ceremony on 16th December at the Tower of London, where TV’s Simon King will present the awards!
I’m interested – what now?
The competition is free to enter and is open until 5th September. All the details you need to enter are on the YPA website - there's even a dedicated page with advice for teachers.
Get snapping!
