We're all ears...
Help the RSPCA understand more about rabbits as pets by completing our Great Big Rabbit Survey.
We are calling on those who work with young people to help us understand more about what rabbits need to be happy and healthy.
Did you know that…?
- Over 33,000 rabbits have come into RSPCA animal centres since the beginning of 2007.
- Every day for the last three years, an average of 25 rabbits have been collected, rescued or seized by RSPCA inspectors.
- In addition, since 2007 more than 8,000 rabbits have been reported abandoned to the RSPCA.
- A further 3,300 rabbits have been signed over to the RSPCA by their owners who can no longer look after them.
We are concerned that the needs of rabbits are often poorly understood which could be having a negative impact on rabbit welfare.
If you and the young people you work with can help us understand where things are going wrong for rabbits, maybe we can stand a chance of helping our lop-eared friends enjoy better lives.
Hop to it!
Everyone who takes part in the survey will be able to download an exclusive RSPCA screensaver and be entered into a competition to win rabbit-related goodies, including toys, grooming tools and a supply of bedding and food.
