    Interacting with animals

This lesson explores the relationship between humans and other animals. It encourages the students to consider what influences their views about animals and, in turn, how this may have an effect on their behaviour. The lesson provides a useful introduction to all the resources for key stages 3 and 4.

    Dogs and the law

In this activity, young people will look at a variety of statements that relate to how they care for or treat their dog, or how they would care for or treat their dog if they had one.

Animal welfare education

Animal welfare can be a complex issue. To make it accessible to children and young people we have simplified many of the concepts to help them engage with the subject.

The RSPCA Science Group is a substantial centre of expertise, which provides the evidence that helps enable the RSPCA to advance animal welfare effectively.
