Here at Stapeley we regularly organise fundraising events to help ensure we can provide for the ever increasing numbers of injured animals we deal with.

Volunteering and placements

Volunteers and student placements play an essential role in both the wildlife and cattery sections of the centre.

Volunteering

We're always in need of committed volunteers who have time to spare and are keen to support Stapeley in either the wildlife centre or cattery.

Whether it be working directly with the animals, in the office, supporting fundraising or education efforts or in assisting in the maintenance of buildings and grounds, all assistance is welcomed!

Veterinary Placements

We offer work placement opportunities for fourth and fifth year veterinary students to work alongside our dedicated wildlife veterinarian team, to contribute to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife.

Our busy season is from May to September and during this time you will experience the broadest range of activities. However, during the quiet season there will be more time to get involved in more in-depth activities.

Student Placements

Our work placement opportunities allow students to work alongside our dedicated wildlife team to contribute to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife.

We offer a set number of work experience placements each year. They are available to anyone working or training to work with wildlife e.g. college and university students studying wildlife related subjects.

Experience days

Our experience day opportunities offer you the chance to spend a day as a ‘wildlife support assistant’, working closely with a member of our wildlife staff and getting involved hands on with the work we carry out at the centre.

If you're interested in short/long-term student placements or experience days please feel free to contact us: lee.stewart@rspca.org.uk

Corporate days out

We also offer Stapeley Grange corporate community day / team building (PDF 268 KB) - for businesses who want to work within the local community, helping us to complete small but urgent projects. If you would like to find out more contact lee.stewart@rspca.org.uk

The centre has already created a link with Barclays Bank which has led to £2,500 being donated for items that their staff have used during their work on site.
