Macaroon (on the left in the photo) and Ice were brought into the Centre together as ‘sisters’. It was obvious very quickly that Ice and Macaroon were not, in fact, sisters, but were clearly brother and sister. Ice and Macaroon were separated on arrival and thankfully, after the initial litter they arrived with (Caramel, Syrup, Sugar and Treacle), no more litters have appeared. After some hefty perseverance from the staff, Macaroon and Ice have been rebonded which is fantastic news for them both!
Macaroon and Ice are a very lively pair. They were born in August 2011 and arrived with us in February 2012, aged roughly 6 months. Both bunnies have very beautiful markings. Macaroon is the orange coloured bunny (and is a broken/butterfly orange). We are unsure of what Ice’s markings are because they are so sporadic, but he too is a broken/butterfly and likely something like a lilac tort. Macaroon and Ice are not a specific breed but they clearly have some part lop in them because of their lovely and out of control ears.
Macaroon is a lovely lady. She is very independent and knows her mind, yet she often seeks out human company. She enjoys a fuss and stroke and doesn't hold much fear of people. She does, however, have a passionate dislike for being handled, so whoever adopts her will need to understand this and be able to handle her even if she is wriggly. She will need someone experienced to handle her.
Ice is an eternal optimist and a whirlwind of energy. He struggles with his litter training, although he does seem to have gotten a bit better since being rebonded with Macaroon. He is a Houdini and enjoys escaping. He, like Macaroon is very people sociable and very attentive to people (especially if you have food!). He also enjoys a fuss.
Macaroon and Ice would make a lovely addition to any household. They are very friendly and have a lot to give. Can you offer this lovely pair the home they deserve?
