Tyson
Background
Tyson, the 2 year old, Staffordshire bull terrier came to us through no fault of his own in April this year.
He was being housed with one of the Macclesfield, South East Cheshire and Buxton Branch’s fosterers but had been overlooked by potential new owners.
Despite their bad press, Staffies can make brilliant pets, their energy and intelligence makes them really good with older children.
Tyson was ready and waiting to be rehoused. He had been neutered, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated, and all he needed was a home.
Tyson’s character
Despite his name, Tyson is a big softie who loves being cuddled and absolutely adores people.
Tyson used to be very good around other dogs but, unfortunately, he was attacked by another dog and this had really affected his confidence.
Tyson’s fosterer worked to rebuild his confidence after the attack and fortunately the hard work paid off.
Tyson is your typical staffy with bags full of energy, he loves playing and is basically an over-grown puppy!
After a hard days play, Tyson loves nothing more than cuddles on the couch and being groomed (especially on his behind!)
Tyson is intelligent, knows a few tricks and is housebroken; although he likes to act the fool at playtime.
Tyson’s new home
After months of waiting, Tyson finally met his match and has found a loving family home, his new owners said:
When we first met him he was very hyper, but, by the time we got him home, he was so calm. It’s like he’s been part of our family forever; he’s fantastic with the kids and he loves to hog my bed, we love him to bits!
We thought [the fosterer] was amazing too, she’s done a fab job with him, he’s so well behaved we can’t believe our luck. We are so lucky to have him.
Unfortunately, not all dogs are as lucky as Tyson.
Adopt a pet
There is nothing quite like the feeling we get from successfully rehoming an animal.
