Buster and Bailey
Buster (black) and Bailey (fawn-coloured) are two incredibly gorgeous five-year-old shar pei brothers who were in the care of our Leeds, Wakefield and District Branch and looking for a home together.
Their background
Buster and Bailey came into our care after a change in their previous owner's circumstances. They were cared for by the branch for months and were constantly being overlooked by potential new owners through no fault of their own.
Their characters
Buster and Bailey are very typical shar pei boys. It can take them a while to bond with new people and they can be a little head shy to begin with.
(Head shy is where animals don't like to be touched on the head.)
But once they get to know someone, they are ever so affectionate and loving and just love a good tickle on the chin.
Buster is the brains of the pair and generally lets Bailey investigate everything first. Whereas Bailey can be a cheeky boy and will try and test the boundaries at times in his quest to explore!
Ideal home - found!
The pair were beginning to find kennel life extremely stressful and were desperate to be back in a loving home environment, ideally together as they had been together all their lives.
To help them find the perfect home they were featured in our special appeals.
Now, at last, Buster and Bailey have found a home together.
They’ve settled in brilliantly. They are still cheeky as ever and still think recall is a game of chase! But they are very happy and have settled great into family life!
Can you offer a loving home to a special animal?
The animals on our special appeals pages are often those who have, through no fault of their own, been overlooked by potential owners and as a result may have spent some time in our care.
