Opera

To check your browser version, from the toolbar select Help > About Opera.

A new window will open detailing the version you have.

How to clear your browsing history

From the Opera toolbar, select Tools > Delete Private Data.

From the new warning window, select Details (version 9) or Detailed Options (versions 10, 11 and 12).

Select the type of data you wish to delete by ticking the boxes, and then select Delete. The window will automatically close.

Private Browsing

Opera 10, 11 and 12 also support Private Browsing so that no history is recorded for a particular session.

To turn this feature on, from the upper left-hand corner of the browser window select Menu > Tabs and Windows.

From the sub-menu select New Private Tab or New Private Window.

To turn this feature off, close the Opera window.

NB. Private Browsing isn't automatic and has to be turned on for each session.
